This is the highest-level international event after the World Championship and Table Tennis World Cup, and participants will earn points for the international rankings.
The championship was held in Yokohama in 2005, 2006, and 2008, and the city will host the event for the fourth time. Top players from across the world are expected to compete in the championship.

Special seat: 3,000 yen (admission on the day: 3,500 yen)
Average seat: 2,000 yen (admission on the day: 2,500 yen)
Child of senior high school age or under: 800 yen (admission on the day: 1,000 yen)

You can buy tickets for average seats at Ticket Pia’s website, Ticket Pia Spot, Seven-Eleven stores, and Circle K Thanks stores. If you want to buy tickets for special seats or for children of primary school age, send your application by fax, with all necessary information written on it, to the Japan Open Secretariat at 045-782-9656. (Be sure to include: 1. Desired date and ticket type and the number of tickets; 2. Your phone number; and 3. Your address and name.)
